Sami El Kasm, Photo editor at Libération
Sami El Kasm is a deputy photo editor at Libération, where he works on editing and assigning photographers for different sections of the paper. At Libération he oversees both the international and the national photo report. Prior to joining Libération, he worked as a photo editor at Le Monde and the International New York Times. At Libération he has assigned a variety of photographers including Cyril Zannettacci, Myriam Boulos, William Keo, Andréa Mantovani, Guillaume Herbaut, Tanya Habjouqa and Peter Van Agtmael.
Fethi Sahraoui, Magnum Foundation fellow, Photographer
Born in the Southern town of Hassi R'Mel, Fethi Sahraoui is an Algerian documentary photographer and a Magnum Foundation fellow, working on the local social landscape. He studied foreign languages at the University of his hometown, Mascara, and graduated in 2018, after preparing his final project about the contribution of Black American photographers during the Civil Rights Movement. Working as a full-time photographer, Fethi's work was shown in different institutions like The Arab World Institute in Paris and published on numerous platforms like the New York Times. His work will be featured at a forthcoming Carnegie Museum of Art installation in Pittsburgh in July 2024. He is a member of the 220Collective, a family of seven photographers who are based in different parts of Algeria and who collaborate on a variety of projects together. In 2022, he published his first photobook Triangles of Views. Fethi is currently working on a movie project that originates from a photography one.
